Comments: At my favorite beach Kailua Beach singingjng one of my favorite songs by Justin Kawika Young windy day but gorgeous! Today was near perfect! I went to the KoAloha Factory Showroom (My favorite brand of ukulele ever!) and got to see Brian Benavente again; always so great to see Brian. I also got a chance to meet Mr. AND Mrs. Okami! Papa and Mama KoAloha themselves. WOW, they were both so gracious, friendly and wonderful and treated me like I was a member of their family! Then as an added bonus, I got a chance to meet legendary musician and ukulele great Mr. Gordon Mark! Mr. Okami and Mr. Mark even serenaded me! I am so blessed. Comments: Learning this song was a fun challenge for me today singing it in the beautiful Hawaiian language for which I do not speak. At any rate, I absolutely love this song by Justin Young called E Kailua E. It speaks of the town of Kailua on the windward side of Oahu and how he longs to go back. Kailua is my absolute favorite place to stay when going back home to the island, so serene and magnificent. For this song I opened up my screensaver to a picture of Kailua Beach and Lanikai Beach, relived my memories, and dug in trying to learn. I miss you, my Hawaii... :) I hope you like my rendition. I apologize in advance if I mispronounced any words. Hopefully I get an A for effort, yeah? :) Recorded on June 20, 2011 using a Flip Video camera.
