     YouTube.com - Mapuana-Steel Recital.m4v           Comments: My first performance with Kumu Alan Akaka and his group The Islanders. It was part of a performance for his school of Hawaiian music, "Ke Kula Mele Hawai'i" (www.kekulamele.com) Gary Aiko on bass and Kaipo Asing on guitar, with Kumu Akaka on ukulele. I have been studying with Kumu Akaka for a year or so, and although there are a few clams here and there, I think the spirit is right. Enjoy!!
