Comments: I learned this hula kahiko at the International Waikiki Hula Conference in November 2007. Then our class performed it in the evening at the Waikiki Shopping Plaza Center Stage, under the direction of kumu hula Momi Cruz-Losano.

Comments: This traditional slack key guitar piece, here in a Bb tuning, is derived from a name chant for Hawai'i's last monarch, Queen Liliuokalani. Mahalo to Led Kaapana for teaching me this.
