     YouTube.com - "Hole Waimea" and "Waika"           Comments: These two songs, "Hole Waimea"'s jaunty melody and fast chorus and the gentle "Waika" are both derived from an ancient chant for King Kamehameha I. It mentions the spear makers and warriors of the king's day and how they would go to the cool forest lands and cut saplings to make spears. The plants, forests and cold temperatures in the uplands all have hidden meanings to do with love and intimacy. Books could be written about these ancient chants and what the mean.
