Ua Nani Molokaʻi - Traditional

Ua nani Molokaʻi Nui A Hina
ʻO ka heke no ia aʻo na ailana

Uluwehiwehi aʻo Lanikāula
Ka ulu kukui e kaulana nei

He wai ʻauʻau a`o Moaʻula,
E hoʻopulu i ka ʻili o ka malihini.

Hoʻaleʻale i ka ʻehu o ke kai
I ke kū kilakila aʻo Hāʻupu

Haʻina ʻia mai ana ka puana
Sweet lei kukui ka heke o Molokaʻi

Beautiful is Molokaʻi Nui A Hina,
It is indeed, the best of the islands

Verdant is Lanikāula,
The famous grove of kukui trees

The bathing waters of Moaʻula,
That dampens the skin of the newcomer

Making waves in the spray of the sea
As Hāʻupu stands majestically

Told is the refrain
The sweet kukui lei is the best of Molokaʻi
